At LBJ this is called the Simple Cuff Bracelet - which is true. But when you're working with the wonderful stones we are -- like the gorgeous, soft salmony orange red Spiny Oyster Shell in this Orange/Red Spiny Oyster Bracelet -- you don't need much embellishment besides the gorgeous, Spiny Oyster in minimal .925 Sterling Silver Setting. Here we've used a low-dome half-round wire and two sterling silver bead embellishments to flank this 8X14mm spiny oyster oval. Wear alone or stack 'em up! All traditional silversmithing is done in my Baltimore, MD studio.

Spiny Oyster was used by Native American artists to make inlays in fine jewelry. It comes from the shell of the bivalve mollusk, Spondylus varius. Like many other bivalve mollusks, the soft, meaty interior of Spondylus is edible, so the Spiny Oyster’s valued for its hard, outer shell as well as its interior meat. Despite its name, the Spiny Oyster’s much more closely related to the scallop than to the true oyster.

Extra Small fits up to a 6.5 inch wrist (we use 6'' metal)
Small flexibly fits up to 7 inch wrist (we use 6.5" metal)
Medium flexibly fits 7 - 7.5 inch wrist (we use 7" metal)
Large flexibly fits 7.5 - 8 inch wrist (we use 7.5" metal)
Extra Large fits 8 - 8.5 inch wrist (we use 8'' metal)
